Purpose of the Network Directory

The Purpose of the Net Directory is to maintain a self-monitoring list of Distinguished Rehabilitation Scholars who are available, as paid consultants, to teach courses, provide brief training, conduct/assist with research, provide program review, help develop or assess rehabilitation programs in the United States and other countries, assist with service projects, external review of grants, CORE self-study review, creative problem solving, conflict resolution, manuscript review, dissertation review, resume review, etc. These can be accessed by any entity that is seeking a Distinguished Rehabilitation Scholar.

Eligibility

Scholars must have a doctorate degree, at least 25 years of teaching and/or research experience in the field of Rehabilitation, and maintain individual membership in NCRE. The honor system will be used in identifying oneself as one who meets the criteria.

Process

1. Qualified Individuals wishing to be listed as Distinguished Rehabilitation Scholars will contact the NCRE office and request verification of individual membership.

2. Forward this verification to the National Clearinghouse of Rehabilitation Training Materials via email (michael.millington@usu.edu) with the following attachments: a) Full Name and contact information, b) a written request to be listed in the directory, c) a thumbnail digital photo, d) a brief biographical statement, e) a current vitae, f) consulting interest areas, g) geographical interests or limitations, h) time restrictions, i)setting interests, j) potential format for consultation, k) a statement regarding fees (optional), and (l) any other negotiating points.

3. A web page will be set up on your behalf and you will be given author privileges on the site. You will be expected to maintain and update the site yourself.

4. Entities can access the directory and contact the scholar directly.
